DIRECTIONS
AND PARKING

 

From the M1

Exit junction 26, take A610 signposted Heanor. Leave duel carriageway following signs A608 Heanor/Langley Mill. Follow road up a steep hill to traffic lights, at traffic lights follow brown signs for Shipley Country Park. Parking is at Matthew Walker factory car park on Heanor Gate Industrial Estate.

 

From Derby

Follow A608 through Smalley towards Heanor, follow brown signs for Shipley Country Park. Parking is at Matthew Walker factory car park on Heanor Gate Industrial Estate.

See recommended parking. Please follow marshal instructions to designated free parking areas.

Please note: Shipley Country Park Visitor Centre Car Park is now Pay & Display.

Absolutely NO PARKING on the course.






Race HQ

The race headquarters are situated in the Green Room at the Visitors Centre, Shipley Country Park. From here you will be able to collect your race number, find toilets, refreshments and an information shop. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide changing/bag storage or shower facilities.
Food and refreshments also available from Luke's Snap Cabin on Delves Road.


All Runners to collect numbers on the day from
8am.

 

Race Number

All runners must wear the race number on the front of their vest at all times. Chip timing will be on the back of the number.


Personal Headphones

Please do not wear anything that may prevent you from hearing instructions from the Marshals and/or Police. This is for your own safety and in the event of an accident will invalidate your insurance.


Drinks

There will be a water station near the halfway point and at the finish.


First Aid

The Red Cross will be in attendance during the race.

Spectator Points

Heanor Gate Industrial Estate, the junction with Delves Road, Bell Lane and Osbourne's Pond, Shipley Country Park.


At the Finish

Please ensure that your race number is clearly visible, and that your number has been recorded before leaving the finishing funnel. Keep moving through the funnel to allow other runners to finish but remain in your finishing order.


Presentation and Results

The presentation and prize giving will be held in the Green Room as soon as possible after the race. Full computerised results will be available.
