Heanor RC finished the BDL summer season in style with four men leading the way in the final fixture on home turf.

In warm conditions at Shipley Hall Cricket Club, 29 runners turned out in the yellow and blue.

Dale Annable secured the win ahead of teammates Joe Rainsford, Matt Bickerstaff and Ben Rhodes as all seven men’s scorers finished inside the top-13.

Victory for the men and fifth-place for the women – led home by junior Ashleigh Armstrong in 88th – ensured second spot on the night and victories across the board for the season overall.
