A 25-strong turnout, impressive female showing plus seven men inside the first twelve ensured Heanor RC retained the men’s and combined BDL XC titles at Holmebrook Country Park yesterday.

Joe Rainsford led home a HRC 1-2 ahead of Dale Annable whilst Wendy Mullineux took second in the female standings. There were also a number of debutantes pulling on the yellow and blue for the first time.
