Dog Kennel Challenge – Round 4
One to go – all to play for
The penultimate round of the Dog Kennel Challenge on a cold and icy Saturday morning saw things tighten up in the race to become King & Queen of the Dog Kennel Hill.
Rita (45 circuits from 4 rounds), Georgina (43 from 4) and Heather (43 from 4) have completed the most so far but it’s in a number of the age categories where the real interest lies.
In the Senior Ladies, Georgina and Heather lead the way but only by six from Kelsey.
Only two circuits separate first and second in the VM40 category with Ian M leading Glenn with both having completed three rounds.
In the MV50 category Tony leapfrogged both Pete and Eamon to move to 39 from 3.
Remember, competitors need to have competed in FOUR rounds to qualify!
As an added incentive to bring runners out on a Saturday, Rob and Jo held the draw for the club’s London Marathon place with Pete Edwards the “lucky” winner.
A hard winters training awaits!
