The trio of James Mee, Chris Rainsford and Stuart King propelled the club to another snippet of Heanor Running Club history last weekend as the team finished fourth at the BUPA London 10,000m incorp. UK Championships.

On the streets of the capital over the bank holiday weekend, James, Chris and Stuart each recorded their second-fastest times ever for 10k and the overall cumulative time saw them finish behind only Aldershot, Farnham & District, Blackheath & Bromley and Kent AC in the team standings.

The team backed up their impressive performance over cross country last winter where they – along with Dale Annable – recorded a top-10 finish at the National XC Relays, to finish as the first Midlands-based side and ahead of the established likes of Tipton Harriers and Notts AC.
