Junior Training & Competition Update
The end of the summer training season is upon us and we will be meeting in the reception area at Heanor Leisure Centre from Thursday 24th October 5.45pm – 6.45pm.
Please Note: That the last session before Christmas will be 12th December; resuming on the 9th January 2014.
Please ensure you wear a reflective top at training, arrive on time and bring a drink. We will be training outside during the winter months so a waterproof top will also come in handy. If you feel ill or are injured then please rest – it’s better to miss training than possibly make yourself worse.

Scoring
The first three members of a club/school to finish the race will score points in accordance to the position they finish (1st place = 1 point, 9th place = 9 points etc) so the winner will be the team scoring the least number of points. All age group points will be added together to determine the overall winning club/school.
Individual performances are scored on the same principle. If an athlete misses an event he/she will be awarded final place +1 point of that particular event. The scores are then added and the athlete with the least number of points over the three fixtures in their respective age group shall be declared the winner.
Awards
The annual trophy will be given to the club/school with the least number of points over the period of three matches.
Medals will be awarded to the first three individual athletes with the least number of points in their respective age groups over the three matches.
Numbers and Letters will not be needed in this competition. On completion of the race athletes will be given a disc with their finishing position on. This must be given to the Team Manager who will then record the athletes name and position on the envelope provided.
Further details e.g. parking, directions, refreshments etc will be displayed on the Derbyshire AA website www.dcaa.org.uk in the run-up to each match.
Athletes will pay £3 per match, payable to the team manager. The County Association treasurer will invoice clubs and schools direct after the completion of match 3.
