Emily Deeming along with sisters Lily and Phoebe Winfield represented Heanor RC in the first Derbyshire Track & Field Mini League fixture of the season at Moorways yesterday (26/04).

In the U11G category, Phoebe ran a personal best of 25.3 to finish fourth in the 150m and leapt to a height of 0.90m to place fifth in the high jump.

Similarly to Phoebe, Emily also competed across two events in the U15G age category. The half-lap sprint saw Emily run a personal best of 29.3 to finish fifth whilst in the 800m she ran less than half-a-minute outside her best to cross the line fourth in 2:41.0.

Lily Winfield followed up her catgeory record in the club’s three mile time trial on Tuesday with a dominant victory and personal best in the U13G 800m. Lily slashed eight seconds off her previous best to clock 2:30.8 – a time that sees her sitting inside the top-20 for her age in the UK so far this year.
