A club-record 41 runners turned out for the opening Booth Decorators Road League at Teversal Grange on Tuesday.

Joe Rainsford and Dale Annable led the 403-strong field home in a HRC 1-2 while Lisa Palmer-Blount topped the women’s standings.

The phenomenal numbers turning out in yellow and blue ensured the club picked up where it left off last August.

Both the men’s and women’s teams came out on top at the Sutton Harriers-hosted event and will be looking for much of the same at Ilkeston next month.
