With race entries well-ahead of where they stood at this stage in 2013, runners are advised to get their entry in soon to avoid disappointment.

This year’s edition will be the 28th running of the Heanor RC-hosted event and will see a new course set within Shipley Country Park.

A Matthew Walker Christmas pudding will be waiting at the finish line for all competitors and there are hampers plus cash prizes on offer to category winners as well as team prizes for the first male and female teams.
