Three from three at a muddy Denby Pottery
A fantastic season’s best of thirty-nine runners turned out for the latest installment of the 2014 BDL road campaign as Stuart King took the honours to lead a second-successive HRC 1-2-3-4 and Lisa Palmer led the ladies to their lowest combined score of the summer so far.
The Belper Harriers-hosted Denby-based route resembled more a cross country course than road but saw twenty-one HRC runners return to the start line just forty-eight hours on from their exploits at the Ramathon.
The team’s dominant display was the third on the bounce and, despite North Derbyshire’s strong showing, the yellow and blue hold a healthy and almost-unassailable advantage heading into the final two fixtures at Carsington Reservoir (08/07) and Shipley Hall Cricket Club (05/08).
